					<title>CD NEWS/UPDATES!!!</title>
					<link>http://philburdett.com/blog.cfm?feature=1080523&amp;postid=1389481</link>
<description>Hello Pop-pickers &amp;amp; Soul Brothers...just thought we&apos;d update you on what is occurring re: the cds...due to fiscal problems/recession/lack of paid work etc etc it has not been possible to get any stuff out this year but FEAR NOT for next year will bring a veritable tsunami of musical output...
Pride of place goes to the full band cd &apos;GOOD FOR MR. BAD HAT&apos; which is done &amp;amp; mastered &amp;amp; awaiting cover art &amp;amp; pressing costs to be met (&amp;pound;500 if anyone&apos;s won the lottery)..at our rate of income we hope to get it to you lovely people around february/march 2012..there will be a showcase gig (probably at Riga Bar, Southend if Mr B. isn&apos;t still banned) at which we shall unveil exclusively the video for &apos;CROSSING WOOLWICH FERRY&apos; (a track from the album) which is being shot as we speak on location by the sea &amp;amp; in several fine pubs...
Next up will be the low-fi &amp;amp; dirty Phil Burdett &amp;amp; The Lazy Bears &apos;TEN FABLES OF SHAME&apos; album full of well-oiled musicianship &amp;amp; downhome loose goodness...and a third album of more restrained acoustic, wistful, melancholic folky stuff &apos;WHITE FEATHERS SUNG IN SHADOW&apos; will be released thereafter (possibly in a cheaper cd format)...
As if this were not enough there are TWO free recording opportunities next year courtesy of the very kind offers of Phil Ball (a fab local muso &amp;amp; studio boff) &amp;amp; Senor Al Vaquero (London based cowboy, possible soul-mate &amp;amp; glorious maverick)...the Senor Al session will be completed first (tentatively titled &apos;MERCENARY SONGS OF A LUSH&apos;) during which we shall try and record 11 songs in two days at his Shrunken Heads Studio (they have a bar apparently..oh my paws &amp;amp; whiskers...) and then it is back to the seaside for a full band session of recording with the lovely Mr Ball!
Mr Burdett will be embarking upon his lunatic MobyDick-inspired twisted folk cd (don&apos;t ask) sometime next year too; the complexity of which may just see the old fool certified...
That&apos;s the news, chaps...gigs will be updated on the website so check in and get your sorry asses along..pip pip!!! xxxxx</description>
