CD NEWS/UPDATES!!!

Hello Pop-pickers & Soul Brothers...just thought we'd update you on what is occurring re: the cds...due to fiscal problems/recession/lack of paid work etc etc it has not been possible to get any stuff out this year but FEAR NOT for next year will bring a veritable tsunami of musical output...
Pride of place goes to the full band cd 'GOOD FOR MR. BAD HAT' which is done & mastered & awaiting cover art & pressing costs to be met (£500 if anyone's won the lottery)..at our rate of income we hope to get it to you lovely people around february/march 2012..there will be a showcase gig (probably at Riga Bar, Southend if Mr B. isn't still banned) at which we shall unveil exclusively the video for 'CROSSING WOOLWICH FERRY' (a track from the album) which is being shot as we speak on location by the sea & in several fine pubs...
Next up will be the low-fi & dirty Phil Burdett & The Lazy Bears 'TEN FABLES OF SHAME' album full of well-oiled musicianship & downhome loose goodness...and a third album of more restrained acoustic, wistful, melancholic folky stuff 'WHITE FEATHERS SUNG IN SHADOW' will be released thereafter (possibly in a cheaper cd format)...
As if this were not enough there are TWO free recording opportunities next year courtesy of the very kind offers of Phil Ball (a fab local muso & studio boff) & Senor Al Vaquero (London based cowboy, possible soul-mate & glorious maverick)...the Senor Al session will be completed first (tentatively titled 'MERCENARY SONGS OF A LUSH') during which we shall try and record 11 songs in two days at his Shrunken Heads Studio (they have a bar apparently..oh my paws & whiskers...) and then it is back to the seaside for a full band session of recording with the lovely Mr Ball!
Mr Burdett will be embarking upon his lunatic MobyDick-inspired twisted folk cd (don't ask) sometime next year too; the complexity of which may just see the old fool certified...
That's the news, chaps...gigs will be updated on the website so check in and get your sorry asses along..pip pip!!! xxxxx
